The Sri Lankan Association in Sweden (SLAIS) is always committed to all Sri Lankans living in Sweden.
It was established as a non profit organization on 6th November 1993 in Sundbyberg, a municipality in the Stockholm County.
Since it’s inception, SLAIS has promoted Sri Lankan culture and traditional values among it’s members and conducted numerous social, economic projects in Sri Lanka.

Events
During a calendar year, we organize 3 major social events.
“Bakmaha Ulela” to celebrate Sinhala and Tamil New Year in April.
“Summer Outing” an outdoor activity to celebrate warm weather in July.
“Lanka Nite” to celebrate seasonal traditions in December.
Charity
Charity is at our hearts.
Over the cause of three decades, we have successfully concluded many such projects.
To name a few, provide artificial limbs to those who injured due to internal conflicts, drinking water wells, funding organization that take care of disabled children etc in Sri Lanka.
